MOUNT VERNON — United Way of Knox County has announced the grand opening of Vine & Lawn, a new community garden where neighbors can grow food, share knowledge, and connect with one another.

Location: 1009 E Vine Street, Mount Vernon.
Tucked between Vine Street and Lawn Avenue, Vine & Lawn is more than a garden — it’s a space where community takes root.
Whether you’re new to gardening or simply interested in supporting local food efforts, this space is for everyone.
A portion of the harvest will support local food programs, helping ensure that what’s
grown here benefits the broader Mount Vernon community.
We invite residents, partners, and supporters to join us in celebrating this exciting new initiative. Come tour the garden and help us grow something good — right here in the heart of Mount Vernon.
