I bought this ficus elastica and unsure if this counts as brown leaves I should cut off or this is usually how it looks? I have been watering when dry and it gets indirect light
That’s what they look like when they come in and then they change over time.

No! Those leaves are healthy and just a little more orange. Even if the leaves were brown it is better to not cut them off, while turning brown the plant takes the remaining energy from the dying leave and uses it to grow. A dying leave falls off with little effort if it is ready to leave.
But for now your plant looks great!
