Q: What is your favorite local event or festival and why?
Though not an avid gardener by any means, I enjoy taking time to look at all of the different types of plants and flowers at an event hosted in an already beautiful setting, Indian Riverside Park.
In addition to the beautiful flowers, the expo features a number of venders selling planted herbs, which crosses over with another passion of mine, cooking.
The expo is also a great opportunity to look gifts, in my case for my fiancé, who enjoys the expo even more than I do.
Q: Where is it held, when is the next one?
The Jensen Beach Garden Expo is held at Indian Riverside Park, 1707 NE Indian River Drive, in Jensen Beach. It is next scheduled to take place Feb. 28, 2026. Hours for the upcoming expo have not yet been posted, but last year the hours were from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Q: Describe this event or festival. What would patrons see if they attended?
There are a number of vendors selling exotic plants, flowers and herbs, along with event organizers making announcements and orchestrating a raffle.
Past years have also featured multiple food trucks and music, which adds to the enjoyment.
Q: Who attends; what demographic is the event or festival geared toward? Why?
The event is open to the public. It is family friendly for all ages. I particularly enjoy attending with my fiancé.
Q: What do you do there? What’s offered?
You can shop or just look at the many plants, grab a bite to eat from a food truck and just enjoy the park.
I enjoy looking at the wide variety of plants and flowers on display, talking to the passionate people selling them and looking for gifts for family and friends.
Q: What is the cost?
Free! Though you may end up wanting to spend some money and leave with something or get some food.
