Hi! So I recently inherited this plant from an old roommate and I know nothing about plants but I just noticed this weird patten on some of the leaves.

I water it once a day and it gets good indirect sunlight, I’m not a plant person usually so I don’t really know what I’m doing but the monstera seems too nice to let it die.
I have no idea what soil was used as I just recently inherited it.

  1. It’s nothing bad. It’s just scarring from phototropism. It happens and it’s totally safe and fine. No thrips or scale. All of my older leaves have it on all of my monsteras.

  2. Noodthedood

That’s normal. Just becoming more woody there to support the weight of the leaf

  3. Normal. Corking/petiole scarring.

Also, watering once a day is waaaaay too much. Stick your finger in the soil, if it feels dry then water. Alternatively pick up the pot, if it feels light, then water.
