Y’all, it has been hot here. Our real temperatures have gotten up to 114, 115 degrees the last few days, and my plants are struggling. I work outside the home 3 days a week, and I’m not always the best about remembering to come out and water them, and they were starting to get some brown leaves on them. So, I pulled my big ferns down so that I could water the top where the soil is, but then also give some of those leaves some water as well. And then I’m going to go ahead and water the rest of the plants while I’m already out here. I absolutely love my ferns. There is something about ferns that just scream southern porch to me. Is there something for y’all that would just embody the perfect porch plantwise? If so, let me know what it is. I’m also going to show you how our other plants on the porch are thriving as far as this heat goes. Some are doing better than others. You can see here that the plants on this one are starting to wilt. It’s in the sun more. And then this hosta only had a few burnt leaves which was surprising to me. Still looking very beautiful and big. These kolases are annual plants and I love the purple pinkish colors. These ones did okay. Those green ones you could tell wilted. Not good. This one’s actually too big for its pot and needs repotted. But look how beautiful it is. It’s doing great in the sun. This other plant here doing great for the sun. It’s partially shaded. That’s why. And then my beonia doing very well. And these other hostas, they got some little burnt edges that need taken care of. And then the elephant ear I was so excited about. And I cannot get it to not be droopy. I didn’t want to put it in the ground yet, but it’s struggling. And then these over here are my other hostas doing okay. And then these down here, green stems. So maybe I can save them, but they’re burnt.
