I'm new to Austin gardening so still trying to figure out how to manage water with this really hot, dry summer. I planted okra, sweet potatoes, and black eyed peas, but something's happening to the okra with leaf drop. I'm thinking it is a fungus, but I've sprayed it with no improvement. Is it a deficiency? Can they recover or do I need to give up on some of them?
Some of the sweet potato leaves and pea leaves are also yellowing. Am I watering too much right now even though its so hot?

You didn’t mention how often you water or what your soil is like
See any pests? And how much sun and what time of day is this garden getting?
Hard to imagine overwatering in the heat, unless you don’t have drainage at all. But pests and the demon sun could be taking their tolls on your plants.
I didn’t start getting anything edible in my garden besides black eyed peas until I put up a shade structure and started watering every other day.
