Is his damage a side effect of being in a pot that was too small/crowded? Im currently repotting. I was given these lithops yesterday!!

  1. I have one like that, seems healthy and has yet to split.
Could just be the way it is

You need a soil mix designed for Lithops, what they’re in looks bad. Do a search for the proper mix. They don’t like much organic matter.

They are very healthy. As you are going to replant them, they need taller and not wider pots. Use a mixture suitable for lithops, little organic matter and be careful with watering.

A 7cm or 9cm tall vase is more than enough. Planting separately will give you better maintenance, as each one will be able to be watered privately, but it is not a rule, as you have no experience I would opt for leaving it separate.
