They don’t grow or die they just exist. What can I do? I took these cuttings from the mother plant in my lawn about 2.5months ago. At first, I placed them in a mostly dark spot for 2 weeks and watered them every 4 days. Which led to stem rot. I washed and trimmed the rotting part. Repotted them. After that, I placed them on a shelf with a big grow light. The pots have drainage holes that I made, about 8 on each. Since then the only activity I have seen is the whorl opening flat in last week. I watered them today.

Try growing them in full sun. With decent drainage it’s harder to overwater them that way.

So it’s summer where I am and it’s way too hot to be watering Aeonium. They go heat dormant and watering dormant plants causes rot. They actively grow in cooler temperatures preferring temps around 60F/15C. If it’s summer where you are stop watering them. Just let them sit. They’re very succulent and can survive without their roots just fine for months. Aeonium are stupidly easy. Stick in dirt put in light. That’s literally it. Start watering in September when it cools down.
