Even cheaper if you can find it at the pump…often at truck stops but I’ve seen a few random gas stations in town with a def pump.

Sorry but what is this?

Pretty sure I make it cheaper

Does using def actually work? Wouldn’t this do more harm than good to the roots? EPA would have a field day if they could find someone on the spot using this instead of actual lawn grade nitrogen 😂

It’s $8.60 at local ag supply and $9 at local Walmart. I have Walmart deliver them.

Would like some more background on this from, well, anyone I guess.

What about the dye?
How’s the smell?

I saw a guy with 4 of these leaving Costco yesterday. Now I know why.

How much should we dilute this and when’s a good time for application?
I’m curious how large of a container that is. I can buy 40-0-0 (35% Urea, 5% AMS) for $20 for a 50lb bag from SiteOne. That’s roughly $1/lb of Nitrogen, and it can be dissolved to spray, or spread granularly.

Easier to let the clover take over.

When that august heat kicks in and you’re sprays raw urea let me know how it turns out.

The most cost-effective approach is to purchase a 50 lb bag of 46-0-0 urea fertilizer. For a 10,000 sq ft lawn, I apply 3 lbs of urea mixed with 12 gallons of water every 1–2 weeks during the peak growing season, using a battery-powered sprayer. Each application costs just $2 to $3.

I get a 50lb bag of urea 46-0-0 from a local ag store. $20/50lbs = .40/pound / .46 N/urea = $0.86 per pound of nitrogen.

50lb of granular urea is 18 dollars. Beat that.
