Alright what is the pee tek about and does it really produce more pups?

Yes. Pee is high in cytokinins which help produce pups. Male urine is higher than female urine in cytokinins. Don’t piss directly on you cactus. Pee on the soil, or better yet dilute your urine and apply to soil. No, it’s not a joke. Yes, it really works. One caution is that urine is high in salts that can build up in your soil so don’t overdo it.

My plants are my outdoor urinal. I have a few hundred so none get too much. They seem to love it and I get a lot of basal pups.

My cacti grow well with 10-20% urine in the water sometimes during the growing season, but they do not produce any pups.

Pp in bucket, dilute 1:10 or so with water then water plants 🥸

I’ve been peeing in a one gallon bucket, adding a little super-thrive and then diluting it…

I just fertilize with three part master blend, and the times I water without ferts I use jones juice. Pups galore. I’m not messing with piss lol.

Wish I had all the pics of basal pups I have, and yes, I’ve used this technique. I also fertilize with fish fertilizer. I see some plumpness after the fish fert, but will consistently see more pups at the base after some pee. Almost had me worried tbh, that my plants were sick lol. Do it! I pee in a cup so I have some better control over how I dissipate it through the medium, lol

Its more so the urea nitrogen form content in urine that produces pups

Can confirm, pee tek works crazy wonders. Has produced a basal pup on a cactus I’ve had for 2+ years, and plumped my collection up tremendously.

I pee on mine all the time. I pee directly on them. I also pee in a bucket and add water and let it get gross and then water with that. I add beer to it sometimes. They are pretty stoked. I just got two basal pups this summer.

The hype is real! I’ve done the diluted and direct and I’m a patio warrior with small and medium pots. I do use trays so I don’t drip pee water on the neighbors

    Edit: stoned error fix

Idk i used to dilute but now I just pee directly into the soil. I don’t over water them with pee, maybe like 8-10 oz. I’ll pee on them like twice a month. I’ve had zero issues. I have small yearlings pushing out pups. I can’t say for sure it’s the pee but it definitely ain’t hurting them. I’ll also feed them fish fertilizer here and there, maybe once or twice a month. Pretty much like every 4-5 watering, I’ll hit them. Sometimes the heat makes them bone dry pretty fast.

Best to not do it after a salty meal. After high-liquid/lower-sodium meals is best, from what I’ve found from charging my biochar with it too. I will usually do it after lots of Fruit/juice/milk/smoothies ect
