First time trying houseplants in a tank. Any tips or anyone with experience with peace lilies? Wondering how they will do to eat up nitrates and such

I have no doubt that the turtle will find a way to escape.

I have peace lilies in my fish tanks and they do pretty good job. I like pothos, not sure if it is safe for turtles though

My turtle enjoys devouring the pothos roots in my tank, so I must keep the planted area separated from her with an eggcrate.

Observe your turtle behavior – it might nibble here and there and ignore, or destroy them (most likely).
If latter, you could try to protect the roots by hiding them with some rocks or driftwood (something that the turtle cannot easily move), or mesh bags (maybe with previously soaked LECA balls for better structure?)
