I've never seen anything like this before. Is it some kind of cool mutation? It's surrounded by other sunflowers that appear to be perfectly normal.

I’ve had seeds for these for years, but whenever I plant them, the squirrels or birds dig them up. So I’ve yet to ever actually grow one. This post has inspired me to try again!

How do pollinators do with the fluff? Most of the flowers I plant are geared towards attracting butterflies, bees, etc and I was wondering if anyone noticed how they do with these sunflowers?

  8. LOL, it looks like a mutated mango pit. Maybe this flower hasn’t fully developed?
