Those are beautiful. They look like lilacs tho. I bet they smell wonderful!

Where do you live? I’m based in NYC and I’ve NEVER seen lilacs bloom this late in the summer! Usually mid- to late May, then they’re all gone 😞 (my favorite flowers, I can’t get enough of them)!

  3. Beautiful. My neighbors shoot guns…get lucky if one is okay

Strawberry hydrangeas? Way too late for lilacs everywhere but those strawberry hydrangeas bloom now into Fall where I live

How are you getting lilacs so late? Where in the continent are you?

Beautiful purple lilacs! Are they from awhile ago as they normally are in bloom during the third week of May? They’re a really lovely color.
What a nice neighbor to do this for you!

Oh they are lovely. Syringa vulgaris, vulgaris merely means common- but they are more than common aren’t they, spectacular.

Definitely lilacs. I’ve grown both lilacs and hydrangeas

Those are beautiful lilacs, but definitely not hydrangeas. Enjoy the fragrance!!

Those are lilacs! Hydrangea is a completely different beast of flora

Lilacs or bhudelia/butterfly bush. Such pretty color either way. Enjoy! Nice friend.
