Yeah they grow. You need to get a bigger pot. This will happen again when the plant gets bigger. That’s how plants work, yeah?

It’s fighting its way out of that pot whether you like it or not

That’s one of my favorite plants! It took over my house, I have 10+ pots of it 🥲

You need a bigger pot. At least 2 inches larger in diameter. Break up the roots as you repot. I would even cut off the bottom inch of the roots as well.

Just glue that back on and should be good to go.

Shedding it’s skin as it grows. Nature is beautiful.

It’s the strangest thing, in nature, plants grow and they aren’t in containers. They are programmed to do so. It’s not that the roots don’t want to stay in the pot, it’s that there’s no more pot left for all those roots!

Set it free ! Give it liberty or death !

And if his foliage started dying you would have wished he spoke up first

I think it might be trying to communicate with you 😂

    Everyone: “Time to repot.”

    OP: *Repots in same-sized pot*

So root bound it’s sad. You must get it repotted now.

Would you want to sleep in a crib as a full grown man?

Waiting for my sansevieria to do the same. I should have known better when the plastic pot I had it in was made into a tear shape from the offshoots! Bent it to hell.

We should make little plant strength competitions! Like the lowest feat of strength would be breaking through a paper towel, then graduating to cardboard seedling pot, then permanently deforming a plastic pot, then we get into the real shit. First: terracotta. Then slight increase for a glazed or painted clay pot. Then finally…any plant that can bust through concrete takes home not only the gold but also the positive Darwin Award lol
