If we haven’t met, welcome! It is still time to plant things before winter. Right now I’m expanding my garden so I can get in a few more summer crops and have space for my fall vegetables. I added 12 raised garden beds, plus a new #GreenStalk. I’m already planning how I can add a couple more GreenStalks to the space. Over the past few days I’ve been working on transforming this space into something I really want, giving it not only function, but the look I’ve been wanting. Even though I did not change the overall square footage of the space, I have greatly increased the usable space. Just by adding the extra foot off of the ground, It’s made it easier to plant under other plants. It’s been so nice to be able to throw away many of my temporary edging and other items. I feel like I’m so close to having everything in it’s final place. I can’t wait to see what the garden looks like this fall once the greens start coming in strong. If you would like to contribute to the work I’m doing on this channel, please consider purchasing from our EpicGardening link. I will also include other links to items I use in the garden. Thanks in advance!

Now, my Growing Zone 11 is very different than most people in the US. Knowing your Growing Zone is easy to look up online through Google. You will need you zip code and it will show you. You can also look up your zone and when to plant certain items by using the good old fashion Almanac at Almanac.com . Gardening has given me more than food. It has given me peace, a place to relieve daily stress and a few stolen moments for myself. My kids get to play outside while I’m working, or they can join me. Watering and creating my own compost teas from pruned plants is something that gets me up and in the sun daily for a few moments. I can’t lie, it’s not out there and these moments are fleeting because IT’S HOT OUT THERE (lol).

One thing I’ planting and harvesting right now is Cucumbers. Cucumbers have a love hate relationship with my Zone 11 weather. They taste amazing, but sometimes they do not grow into perfectly shaped cukes.
If you have any recipe ideas or comments, please feel free to comment below. Thank you for watching!

  1. I’m so glad I waited for these beds. This was a huge investment into something for myself and I really enjoy. I can’t wait for all of my hardscaping to be finished. I can finally see the finish line.
