BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) – If you’re looking for cheap produce, the Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library is participating in the Hunger Free North Dakota Garden Project for the second year in a row.

The library has a station where people can drop off unneeded produce. The project encourages gardeners to share some of their homegrown goods, but if you don’t have a green thumb, you can also buy produce and donate that as well.

“If you have extra, feel free to stop and bring some in,” said Bea Kaiser, administrative office manager. “If you’d like to take some, take whatever you need. It’s a great program for people to try something new.”

The station will be open throughout the growing season.
