I bought this mass cane and noticed it started to brown 24hrs after I took it home and repotted it. This is now 72hrs later and I’m wondering what is going on. I’ve since moved locations for it but did the leaves get scorched on the first day? The previous location was facing a NE window, I’ve since moved it further away. Is this an underwatering issue? I watered thoroughly the first day, let it run through the bottom of the pot, and haven’t watered it since bc the soil feels damp. Room temp is always around 68. I recently bought a humidifier as well, maybe that will make a difference? Or am I just overreacting bc I don’t have a green thumb?

I don’t think it’s an under watering issue, if anything I’m thinking overwatering. Usually if it’s under watered the leaves might look a bit crispy, this looks droopy maybe because of too much water. I would put it in a sunny window and let the soil dry out, chop those leaves as low as you can go. Once it’s dry water again, if other leaves start to turn something else is wrong! Good luck!

Root rot? Take it out of the pot and examine the roots. Are they soggy? Clean that out. Repot in fresh soil

How long was it exposed to high temperatures and light when you were bringing it home? It can only take a minute or two for the foliage to get damaged from excessive heat or light.
