The excellent weather we’ve had so far this summer isn’t about to end with the Met Office estimating highs of 22 degrees later this week. It’s caused thousands of Britons to embrace the outdoors in the last few weeks with more of us spending the weekends out in the sun either in the garden or at one of the several stunning campsites we have out in the sticks.

Unless you plan on being on your feet the whole day, carrying a camping chair or two in the back of the car is always a great idea this time of year. While most budget-friendly foldable chairs are often the most uncomfy thing you’ve ever sat on, one offering at Dunelm doesn’t break the bank while offering supreme comfort.

The Elements Padded Camping Chair with Carry Bag comes with an incredible amount of padding, making it one of the more luxurious chairs we’ve seen for taking outdoors. What’s more, it doesn’t carry the premium price tag you’d expect for its features with it coming in at £14.50 per chair, down from £29 each [via Liverpool Echo].

Similar seats are available online, such as this Hi Gear Vegas XL Camping Chair from Go Outdoors (£50 normally or £29 with Go Outdoors membership) and this ‘Forza Pro’ Foldable Camping Chair by Regatta (£30.95 at Debenhams, down from £100). But Dunelm shoppers are raving about a budget-friendly garden chair that has received nearly 500 online reviews, with the majority awarding it a perfect five stars, reports the Mirror.

One customer said: “The most comfortable camping/garden/picnic chairs I have sat in. You could actually fall asleep in it!” Another added: “Very cosy. Bought one for myself and then had to get three more!”

A third posted: “Perfect! It’s a large-sized, super comfortable foldaway, brightly coloured garden chair, which you can use indoors as well when extra guests arrive!” Someone else wrote: “Raising the game on camping chairs. I spotted these at an outdoor cinema event, found online and couldn’t wait. Ordered ours online before the film started and collected on the way home!”

A fifth person shared: “It also looks beautiful in the garden and I have spent many an hour relaxing reading my book and just enjoying the sunshine, the wildlife and the scenery. I have also nodded off a good many times too but that isn’t a negative!”

And, one more added: “We bought two chairs when they were £20 each, but we’d happily have paid more. Super comfy and easy to set up in just 2 steps. I regularly fall asleep in ours!” However, there were a few unhappy customers.

A shopper claimed: “The chair itself though comfy is very big and difficult to get out of as very low.” Someone else warned: “Standard of fabric wasn’t very good, back of chair material split where you hooked it over.”

And one more suggested: “Bought a few of these chairs. Been great for camping, but unfortunately the stitching on the pockets where the frame locates comes apart quite quickly, could do with reinforcing a bit more.”
