Birch trees are a lovely idea for the new arbor area 🙂
"I feel like you're putting on a negative tone, Aaron." This right here got me balling. I enjoy watching your interactions together. I also appreciate that you keep the videos informal, making them enjoyable to watch and accessible for beginners and everyday gardeners. There are certain plants that we, in the Pacific Islands, cannot grow due to our hot climate. However, watching your videos has inspired me to step out of my comfort zone and try new things. Thank you both for sharing your experiences and knowledge with the rest of us. May your family be blessed abundantly.
I did not see the pole barn. Is it finished
I would be willing to bet the juniper is taking all water and nutrients from everything else planted close. The farther away the better the plants look. So not to point fingers but it’s the tree’s fault!😆😎
How about plating a rain tree or two on the hill at the back of the property by your high tunnels. Or in the back corners of the dirt land
You should get rid of that juniper tree..
2Qs:
Does the Julia Child rose bloom all summer?
Would the sparking sprite crabapple work in your formal flower garden behind the 4 benches?
I am waiting to see where the pool is. There is everything else there 😍.
Oh dear! Hands on hips n flick of the hair. Aaron sleepin in the high tunnel tonight! Love all your videos 😂
Hi Laura. Love the tour. The gardens are beautiful! When you spoke of what is happening with the hydrangeas under the juniper, it made me wonder if it might have to do with the allelopathic effect of the tree. I recently learned about this problem related to one of our cypress trees. Below, I've provided a link to a description of the allelopathic effects of some junipers. Thanks for you many wonderful and educational videos. https://www.google.com/search?q=are+juniper+trees+allelopathic&oq=are+juniper+trees+allel&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUqBwgBECEYoAEyBggAEEUYOTIHCAEQIRigATIHCAIQIRigATIHCAMQIRigATIHCAQQIRiPAjIHCAUQIRiPAtIBCTE1OTk3ajBqN6gCFLACAfEFlby1BeMFOwQ&client=ms-android-verizon&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8
"I'm the exact same gardener, and I kill all the stuff I usually do." Wins the internet today 😅😂🤣
Are we getting a video of all the damage that was done during that huge wind storm at your house and your parents house
Beautiful lush garden. Looking forward to see the seating area near children's pond.
Laura & Aaron,
I see your place on videos along with your family, your outings, and the constant projects you are able to do and fund, and I assume you must think to yourselves constsntly …."What a wonderful life we have. We are so blessed!" Im so happy for you all! What a dream this would be for me! It is beautiful how you share this love of all this beauty and work and success with each other! I am so happy you are able to achieve this together! I have taken much inspiration from your little garden rooms and have recreated some things similar to what you have done. It also brings me great joy!
May God continue to bless you abundantly with His love, love for each other, good health, longevity, success and prosperity. But most of all, may you always have humility and grateful hearts to Our Lord and Savior, and see His hand in everything! You already seem like you do! ❤🙂 Enjoy uour beautiful life! 🥰
Beautiful…thank you for sharing with us!!!😊
Hi Laura! Gorgeous tour! I love it all. I have two plant selections that I think you might love: Senecio Angel Wings (an annual in your zone) and Ajuga Catlin’s Giant. The Ajuga is so much better than I even hoped it would be! I use Lamium like you do, but I think this Ajuga could be a contender for future groundcover projects.
What are you going to do with all those baby fish in the pond? Even that pond is not big enough to support all those baby fish when they get bigger?! 😮
Laura, you should make the little retaining wall a little higher and use it as a bench for when people are on the court. It would make a great place for all the kids to drop the stuff they’re using and that court would make a great place to throw a tent for a reception.
I see baby fish!!😁
Love the look at the 🐔coop!
So enjoyed the tour today, Thank you both !! So many beauties. That new walkway WOW love it !!!😊😊❤❤
Did you know there is someone who made another garden answer page and is posting your videos and pics? On FB
Negative tone, LOL
Maybe the big Juniper consumes too much water and depletes the rest of the plants in that area.
Which Japanese enemy do you have in the kitchen garden? You said it gets 4 feet tall. I need a new one. Do you have any suggestions?
So spectacular. Those new gen Boxwoods look amazing. Let's see how they survive your winter. Then decide next spring.
I appreciate the fails because they make me more patient with my own garden. There is so much that is beautiful and flourishing! It is a good reminder to, “Give thanks in everything.”
Oh yes! We saw the baby fish. How does that work do you have the fish guy come and scoop some out for the winter? This is probably kind of gross but are you going to eat the tilapia? I mean for me it is, I don’t like any kind of fish. Whatever meat you want to raise and butcher is up to you. Do you sell the extra koi or rehome them? I just know you have way too many fish in there now to get through the winter. The tilapia won’t survive the winter.
Loved the whole tour. Thanks for sharing so much information.
I LOVE the banter between you two! Your family is amazing, your garden is amazing, your love is amazing! 🩷
One more comment. You are not used to rain and humidity. The bugs are a LOT more aggressive in this climate. On my non edibles, I have sprayed harsh chemicals weekly to stay on top of the bugs. I spray the ground at the end of the season to kill anything that thinks it is going to winter over and I spray the ground in the spring before everything starts blooming. Japanese Beetles are a nightmare.
Maybe use the blower Vac to get at the tree seeds problem solved ?? The Hartley looks amazing love the curtains and I’m not a curtain person love the way the sunflowers look don’t touch them all is amazingly beautiful thank you for the tour Laura & Arron everything is near perfect as always your channel is my favourite and has been for years even though I am not a member I still look forward to watching every Australian breakfast time 🫖☕️ from the land down under 🇦🇺🐨🦘💌 t
Beautiful wow
I had a hydrangea under a maple that had a fungus. The last two years the hydrangea looked worse and worse. This year it defoliated. I moved it. The Maple will get removed but I am not willing to sacrifice my Strawberry Sundae panicle hydrangea to it. It is reviving. I’m hoping for blooms again next year.
I love the dusty miller with the lemon coral sedum! It is one of my favorite sections of your garden. So cooling and peaceful. Nice contrast to the fighting cats! 😁
Love those walkways
Can you put a camera on the pond for like an hour? And this winter put the video up for us pretty please 🍒!
I am wondering if the hydrangeas defoliating underneath the juniper tree at 35:18 have been affected by the mites droppings/poop! Just a thought!
My impatiens didn't do well this year either, I live in a zone 7b
Where do you buy those huge pots? I want to pot plant outdoor my lace leaf japanese maples but can't see anywhere locally about huge pots…
Did you see The Kings Rose, (David Austin) revealed at The Chelsea Flower Show this year? It’s a striped rose! Not sure I like it very much, curious as to your thoughts.
Dear Aaron…..you need variety. 😂 I love it too Laura! Love a good tone on tone.
Dear Aaron…..you need variety. 😂 I love it too Laura! Love a good tone on tone.
Aaron with a bit of sass today.. lol
🙏🏻🙂
LOL, Aaron getting a little designer power going on today!😂
Laura awesome garden tour. Everything looks amazing! The pond looks like it's doing much better. I disagree with Aaron. I love your grouping on the brick patio. Very peaceful and grounded. Laura you have such great ideas. Such an inspiration. Wow the bubble gum supertunia, saliva, sunflower what a grouping!😊
I stopped fertilizing my impatience weekly, they exploded in color! Hope this helps.
CAN YOU REMOVE THE TOP OF THE FOUNTAIN BY THE HOUSE AND MAYBE IT WON'T SPLASH
