Hey friends! I have had this adansonii for several months. When I picked it up, a lot of the light green variegation was brown and crispy. So that’s not new! I get very bright light so she lives about 10 feet from a south east window and I keep the humidity in my apartment around 50/55%, with fans. I had a thrips outbreak so everyone got treated with systemic and caption jacks. N
This leaf was totally fine (first pic) and now has soft browning on the side. Any idea what happened?

An M. adansonii Aurea, being dramatic as usual. This is likely due to your humidity. Do what I had done and get a smart humidifier to increase the ambient humidity. Once the plant adjusts, you should see this issue no more. Here’s a quick snapshot of mine that is currently maturing:
