What kind of shredders are you running to cut down this stuff? The paper shredders I’ve looked at get out of my price range beyond the 18-20 page units. Can any of them hack it or am I stuck wet shredding this stuff by hand for hours and hours?

  1. 15+ paper shredder is perfect. They will shred super thick things. I have had one for over 10yrs now

I have an 8 page Amazon basics shredder and it tears up stuff good. Can’t run it for more than like 10min at a time before it overheats but for me that’s fine. A 15-20 page will work just fine

Harbor freight makes a handheld cardboard cutter. Works great for stuff like this. While you still are somewhat hand shredding it, it’s better because you are using a cutter to do it.

Probably just won’t be as fine as a paper shredder.

My 18-sheet crosscut shredder handles this sort of double-layer cardboard just fine. It’s a Bonsaii.

My amazon basics 12 sheet has been able to shred any cardboard i throw at it. Have had it for over two years and shredded hundreds of boxes

  6. I have the 6 sheet pen & gear brand from Walmart and it will shred cardboard like this. It definitely struggles but still gets it done. When I break it I’m getting the next size up.

I cut that stuff up and stamp it flat, then shred it.
