RALEIGH, N.C. (WLOS) — It’s your chance to see and possibly catch a whiff of the Amorphophallus titanum or Corpse Flower at Juniper Level Botanic Garden in Raleigh starting Monday, July 28.
Titan Arum has the largest unbranched flower head that can reach up to 12 feet in height. It also has a distinct scent when it opens for only 24 to 48 hours, Plant Delights Nursery said. Unlike roses that have a sweet smell, the Corpse Flower smells like rotting meat when it blooms.

You can experience the Corpse Flower from Monday, July 28, to Friday, August 1, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The garden is also giving out free Amorphophallus konjac or “Devil’s Tongue” seedlings to the first 100 JLBG members who attend.
