Jump scare warning! The first pic is from May 31st when I bought my PPP. The rest are from today. When I bought her, she had a few leaves that were browning/damaged/too close to the soil so I pruned them off. I then noticed there were a bunch of fungus gnats flying around so I gave her a repot/repeated fungus gnat treatment. Upon repotting her, I noticed that this is not 1, but 2 pink princesses in the same pot. I tried to separate them (that’s why she looks kinda bald and droopy) but the roots were far too developed together. The pink variegation has been slowly browning or getting these spots on them and I’ve been cutting those spots off. Now the leaves seem to be drying up from the tip and spreading upwards. I give her water any time I notice the top 1-2 inches of soil is dry. I also give her very diluted plant food/ mosquito bit tea with most of her waterings. Currently I have her in a west facing window but she is a little bit tucked away from the sun still so I’m scared she may not be receiving enough light. Is there any way I can save her?

Following because I just bought a PPP and I have never had one!
I fear that she is dying 😭 does she have any nodes areas that still look ok? I would do the big chop and try to propagate her before she’s gone
Just want to say i also bought a pp and after repotting in nre mix and seperating, shes showing similar signs of distress. I will say that i am waiting for her to dry out before watering again as the soil is still very wet 1 inch down after initial watering. Its only been a week for me though.
Have you seen the roots recently?
Edit: I’d try giving more sunlight if possible and see how that goes.
Soil looks dry. If it’s sitting outside on a black table and assuming you’re in the US. the think is probably dying of thirst..
Yes, I think it might be a root issue. Maybe try a different soil combination for her and rehab the plant first. Fingercross!!!
It needs bright, indirect light. She is getting scorched.
okay so i’ve got a question op. 1) why the orchid bark mix? my pink princess’ are potted in chunky soil with lots of perlite. orchid bark is best for monsteras rather than a philodendron. another question 2) why are you cutting the brown spots? it would be better to prune that leaf off so new growth can come rather than the plant focusing its energy on repairing and callousing that leaf. that orangey leaf is a new leaf coming in they often grow in a weird color but then develop darker over a period of time. lastly. these particular philodendrons (from personal experience) thrive in slight negligence. i water them as often as i do my pothos. once every 2 weeks. i give them a good watering until it flows out the bottom.
i’m a firm believer that all plants can come back. i have a selby homalomena that i had to chop completely down and assumed she wouldn’t come back but she’s got shoots. with some TLC this PP will come back. i would change the soil to a more chunky potting mix with 35% perlite. wait 2-3 days then water thoroughly and then set in indirect bright light. shell perk back up. i dont believe this plant is dying bc i dont believe a plant can truly die. they all can be revived with patience and some love.
Is it living outside?!?
Looks bone dry
I think she’s just having a moment. Like mine is. I have a few of them, and it seems like if I look at them a little too attentively, they get all dramatic. The one that I ignore is just doing her own thing. 🤣
Girl these pictures sent me to the bedside of a hospital. Low-key waiting for the doctor to give me the news
They can stay outside id imagine up to 90 f
95 probably pushing it. But in previous comments your typing as though you think it’s bad. Sure it can burn and there are some things to consider but it will be fine in a lot of the world in the summer months. Most of these plants originate from like Thailand or Africa so they can take some sun. Am I an expert no but don’t be scared to let it get some sun haha
