Looks like an apple tree. Unripe fruit and undersized because they weren’t thinned at the “marble” stage. Put your nose close to a fruit and inhale. Should smell like an apple.

    I don’t know, can you?

Anyway, crabapple, Malus spp. They may be sweet, but odds are they could be very astringent, bitter, sour or bland even. If they are somewhat palatable but not enough for eating directly they can be made into jam, butter or used to flavor water. Just try to avoid the seeds, which while they are of little to no concern in apples the amygdalin can add up fast with smaller fruit with more and bigger seeds.

I wouldn’t recommend eating those keys, but, I will not stop you.

You’re asking the wrong question. You can eat almost anything. The question is: can you survive it?

No don’t eat keys. You’ll get micro plastics and the metal isn’t very digestible.

Yes, but you’ll have to wait a bit before you can drive again…

Crab apples. I guess technically you can eat them but they taste god awful.

  9. Probably won’t kill you. But it would definitely upset your tummy/fuck up your movements

  10. I used to eat these as a kid. I don’t know why; they are *tart*, generally bitter and not pleasant.

  11. Minimum check that they are ripe, are the seeds brown? Crab apples are pretty tart

Yes, but they taste like ass at best.

I find that German car keys tend to taste better than the Japanese ones but maybe that’s just me. Others think they’re the wurst

Come back when they’re ripe and pickle them in a sugar brine

We have crab apples around. Think birds or squirrels must carry the seeds. Very pretty blossoms. But fruit is about the size of a marble.
Picture looks possibly a russet apple.

As long as they aren’t made by Toyota, LOL! Great cars!

Crab apples? If thats what they are, they won’t hurt you, though our grandparents always warned us that eating to many will give you a stomach ache.

I know some of the older folks back home (I grew up in PA, about 30 minutes out of Harrisburg) would make jelly from them.

Not if you’re not planning on walking home
