I bought sucker punch to use on my vintage lilac that came from my mom’s yard. Any suggestions on best time and use. I’m cutting and pulling but it is so vigorous. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Oh by the way I love my Gorilla cart you suggested last summer thanks.
I use a metal hose clamp for my drip tapes that blow off my connector. Usually it is because I can’t tighten them enough due to access or I don’t have the tape all the way in. You can get a whole bag of clamps or a single stainless steel hose clamp for 3/8”-7/8” diameter hose for $1.98 at Home Depot. Just need a flat head screwdriver to tighten it down.
You both are amazing. Great job on everything you do and Laura, thank you so much ♥️ for thinking about people with left hand yes I wish they would make more tools and be equal, which may be soon in the future. Blessings infinity you both are doing amazing job me and my family love your videos 💯🙏🏻💎♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️💎
Benjamin might take after Aaron’s father who’s a pastor, or Laura’s mom who’s always doing things with her grands that they will really enjoy, or Laura who does the same or Aaron who is so willing to help whenever Laura finally admits she needs it! IMHO Benjamin has the best qualities of many of his DNA contributors including the ones we don’t know very well! 👌💖
Albertsons …..yup! Joe Albertson founded right hwere in Boise and their home is just above the park, on the bench (that's what they call the rim up above the city…the Boise Bench). Joe bought the property where the park is so the Kathryn would bave have the gorgeous nature reserve to look out onto each day (also to preserve a space where the city could go and support the wildlie). He didn't want buildings and industry destroying this wildlife rich area.. So it's a very fitting place to propose – Joe built it for his wife out of love =)
also, their grandson remolded their home & lives there (at least he did). It's a gorgeous rustic looking estat4e and you can go back up the hill on Americana Blvd to Emerald and take the first street to your right and wind your way back to see it. Really is pretty. Not a lot of people know about it anymore. Tells you how old I am, lol. In fact my grandfather used to coffee with Joe at their origional store on 16th & state St. Grandpa and the local old cronnies used to have coffe & solve Boise's problems, haha…the coffe shop was right inside of Albertsons. Also, the origional store sat facing the State st. side of that parking lot untill it was too small & tore it down to rebuild it on the other side of that big parking lot (today's location).
funny story…..when they rebuilt they decided to not put the coffee shop in the store. well, Grandpa & his buddies were so upset they took there business tro Shavers Grocery for quite a few years, lol. Grandpa eventurally started going back to Albertsons becuz it was so close to where we lived and Grandma didn't drive so would send Gramps to the grocery several times a week. It was closer than Shavers who was up off of Hill Rd & Harrison Blvd…..but it took a while =).
Regarding flies as polinators, yes! Floret uses them in her hoop houses! Fun recap!!! Thanks for making us all feel like we're sitting having a conversation with you two!😊
Climbing rose with great hips is Bonica! It has very few thorns and blooms all summer. I leave the blooms in fall to make big orange hips. It’s a favorite
The park across the road from Kathryn Albertson is Ann Morrison. Julia Davis is farther away on the other side of Capitol Blvd. Albertson's grocery chain was founded by Joe Albertson in 1939, and his first store was in Boise. He was a former Safeway district manager. Now Albertson's has bought out Safeway.
There is no question where Benjamin gets his personality from. He seems to be surrounded by kind hearted people who are always considering others before themselves.
Also, did the lady with the auger question. If you live in the south east like I do, or around red clay, DO NOT be deceived by how easy it looks. I’ve bought augers and they bounce right off my clay 😢 I still use a small one for the garden beds against my house that have been amended.
“Benjaben” and Samantha are so cute!! My husband hates to edge/trim too. I don’t blame him, he had me do it once and it was horrible! Love your videos!!🌻
My oldest son was like Benjamin when he was little, just the sweetest kid and I always got compliments from his teachers because of how sweet he was and helpful to his classmates and would defend some of them, especially the little girls when he felt someone was being mean to them and I’m thankful to say he’s still like that and he’s 22 yrs old now, just a gentle giant that towers above me but just my sweet, humble and hardworking young man…my 17 yr old on the other hand is quite the opposite but still sweet with me ❤❤❤
Just an encouragement, the cooking videos really motivate me personally to get out there and plant food. My garden needs serious work and I don't have the money for it, I've given up multiple times, but seeing you plant, harvest then use your harvest to cook always makes me want to get out there and try again.
Also, my son was soooooo excited when I told him Benjamin is in TL, he was thinking he would see him lol until I explained how far Oregan is from Texas. He just finished his first year and my other son is going in this coming year, they're both pumped!
Talking about doing things the way your mom does…I used your mom's recipe for molasses cookies. I took a batch to our gardening club. They all wanted the recipe. Sooo good. Thank you.
Like you when canning I used the ring too. But sometimes the ring will start rusting then I take them off. As I have said before I enjoy the recaps just as much as the daily videos! All my house plants go outside. Two of them are so big I use a two wheeler! Don't forget the orange watering pots can be for the Cincinnati Bengals!🐅 I am in Northern Kentucky so that is the professional sports team along with the Reds. Interesting about augers. You definitely make it look easy and better than digging especially when one has a lot of clay like I do. I haven't made the purchase yet for the auger. I would love to come to your parents Anderson's Garden Center. My cousin lives about 5 hours away in Oregon. Maybe some day! I think I got my sister hooked on watching your videos because they have a large yard! Thank you for always bringing us along whether it is new planting, replacing plants, cleaning the Dream Stream a project at your parents or Monica's or antiquing with your Mom and sometimes Monica too it is all a joy to watch! I prefer regular coke but I purchased decaffeinated regular coke. It isn't as sweet as Pepsi. I try to keep it to one can of Coke a day.💚

I agree jars with rings!!!
Good question Aaron about the hydrangea fertilizing now…Would you use the same Rose Tone like you do in the spring?
Albertsons dead by Safeway.

What do you mean by your neighbors' "shop" that's going in behind your raised bed garden? Is it like a shed?

Yes, Albertsons is headquartered out of Boise and their beautiful flagship store is right across from the village in meridian.
I have always left rings on jars, plus they do look prettier with them on.

It’s nobody’s business what you pay for your plants
Thank you!

Floret uses flies to pollinate their Zinnia breeding projects.
I use a big turkey baster (b ulb) to take water out of my pot saucers. Works well.
Wollerton Old Hall has large hips. It’s a DA climber. Mine took a couple years to establish and now it is VIGOROUS! So California. All day sun.
Orange…. Oregon State!
I’m in Minnesota and 75 is hot to me.

I don't like the look of the jars without the rings either, it really bothers me!

👍👍👍♥️I love your children cute interactions in the video .Real life and I agree I like the look of jar lids on top👍👍👍♥️🦋
There's apparently a tulip poplar near me that's a little over 190 feet tall! The ones in my neighborhood aren't anywhere near that height, though.

I could be remembering incorrbut I think the first Albertsons I saw was in Florida in the early 2000s.
you should ask the edgers if it’s ok to feature them in an upcoming video.
Teflon tape?
Diet soda will kill you please stop its toxic poison
Felco doesn't appear to offer a left-handed Cape Cod weeder, but Gardener's Supply does!
We have Alberston's Grocery store here in south Louisiana ; )

Yes the bought Safeway.
Can you tell me why my pumpkin vine never produced female flowers?
Thanks

We cannot get Land & Sea anywhere in Nebraska!!!! It really makes me 😡!!!! Maybe your shop can carry it for those who can’t get it!!!

Tagging at the ankles is securing the pant leg snug around ankle
I agree, I like the rings left on jars!! We all have our own way of doing things. Carry on, Laura! Carry on!!
I looked on the website for Kathryn Albertson Park in Boise. Her husband, Joe, was indeed the founder of Albertson's grocery chain.
The banter today was hilarious…my soul thanks you 😂
