The first photo was what came out of my first lithops to split. Is this normal, did it have triplets or is it a sign of illness as it was quite tall coming out? I repotted it in a very chunky mix.

The second one, it looks like it’s about to split. Is that accurate? I separated it into its own pot so I can avoid watering it.

Last question, what type of lithop is this? I have done research on the plant to know now that I have been overwatering the poor thing, but I cant seem to find the answers.

Whoa, triplets! I haven’t seen triplets before. That’s awesome! Tall like that may be a sign of etiolation. Is it getting enough light?

What’s “very chunky mix”? It should be in a medium made up of 10-15% organic and the rest inorganic—rocks, gravel, perlite, coarse sand, etc.

Yes on the second one—they are agonizingly slow at everything. Except rotting. From overwatering. How have you been watering it? Pics?
