I noticed my pothos has been declining recently, and then I noticed that the only spot where the root was attached completely fell off. Is it salvageable or will the entire plant die? Water sun
It’s still salvageable! You’ve got some nodes that you can stick in water and will grow new roots. The nodes are those little brown nubs on the stem.

Sounds/looks like it. You MIGHT be able to salvage the very end of the vine; the area furthest from the roots. I’d cut just above the node that’s after the shriveled yellow leaf and prop it, but it might be too late. Worth a shot though.
I recently lost my oldest pothos to root rot. Took her out of the pot and those roots fell right off and stank like tobacco (weird ass root rot smell) lol no clue how tf I did that but I was highly upset lol.

As long as there’s another node after that one. There’s one more, right? If not, you’re screwed 😢
