hey YouTube it’s your boy David Corey today I’m coming to you because I had to move all my containers you all remember couple weeks ago when I put the containers out there when that grass was green i killed it the grass but this right here no I didn’t kill this but if you could tell this is what happens to your containers when it gets too hot outside not enough water now I went I left far out of town came back and I watered this before I left and I put a lot of water in all of them but every last one of them look like this and I have yet not yet I have since pulled off all the leaves on the other ones so I’m going to come back and I’m going pull all these leaves off this one so it can continue to grow back because it’ll grow healthier if you take these leaves off it’ll keep growing through the season so show you guys what I did see this tree see it lost all it all leaves sitting off in the bottom i picked up all the leaves and put them in each container helping throw it down and retain moisture but what I am going to do is get some cut up cardboard torn up or cut up and throw it off in here as well cardboard retains water as well as long as it can you understand what I’m saying so try to put some soil in there and cover up your cardboard and it retains moisture it retains the moisture longer i could tell you that i’ve even had uh ideas to do things like this see those old socks i even had ideas to ball those up and bury them and it retains moisture longer now that’s just fabric i wouldn’t suggest it i wouldn’t think not suggest I wouldn’t think it would harm anything to the roots now that will eventually break down you know but it will retain moisture along with leaves and cardboard i know that’ll work i just hadn’t tried it here’s my other one see all leaves gone i mean for upon a closer inspection all the leaves gone but you still see the new growth there it’s not dead the tree is not dead it’s just starved with some water so I gave it a lot of water every last one I gave him a lot of water and that’s what we going to go from from this point on we’re just gonna go with some fertilizer and some water right right so that’s what we have one two and if you could look through that screen it’s the third back there here’s a fourth and I got the fifth one that I just showed you guys back over here so yeah that garden reposition sometimes it works sometimes it don’t now I do I do know that I wanted them from up under these cedar trees cedar trees have a chemical in them that prohibit the growth of things so that’s why nothing pretty much grows under fig trees i mean up under cedar trees but you see those ed but they’re thriving i see I got three pecan trees came up over here one pecan tree two three i don’t want these so I pull these up i don’t want these see the tap routt off in there tap root goes long now I broke the plant it was bend it was bending and twisting but this is the rest of it right here the root goes long let me see if I can pull this one up i broke it too but you see that root it It’s long this is a pecan tree and tap roots go long they go deep excuse me off in the ground so yeah that’s what I wanted to show you guys even some of my smaller things under trees and these had these these little containers had water in them look at the look at the leaves on yeah fig not gone nowhere he good but you see with when they need water you got to water them and this is not even in direct sunlight this one is up under this fig tree and I filled I tried to put water in all the containers this water in that one it’s water in all of them but I’m going to try to put some more water in them cuz I do not like that hold on while I’m got y’all here all right I got to refill these jugs let me go spray my pepper plants with some supposed to be dissolved bear i’m going to see if it’s doing anything [Music] [Music] y’all see these cayenne on here mhm mhm mhm got a real small pepper plant right there trying to grow trying to grow i’mma leave him alone yeah it’s your boy David Cord with that crop had a bad experience with uh mother nature she didn’t she made it a little too hot out here while I was out of town and so that’s consequences that go with it you all it’s your boy David C with that crop and don’t these right here too close to my uh barbecue grill and the heat the heat burned these just the heat from the smoke being too close to this grill that’s why these are burnt but other than that this tree is healthy see this grill this is right here above it that uh stain from those that stain coming up sometime burned the leaves and it actually burned it when I had the grill top open not while it was closed all right it’s your boy David Cory with that crop checking out with another banging video i hope you guys take care respect yourself and one another love y’all

  1. Ooh weeee, I have containers that look like that as well 😵‍💫, I was able to save some of them. Thx for the tip about the moisture control methods.

  2. Thanks for sharing how you struggle keeping everything up on your summer garden in containers. I know I’m doing a lot of gardening in my garden and I live in Southern California get super hot here also.

  3. Thanks David. This sun and the heat wave are working me my friend. Yes, my plants were pitiful too. But not as bad as that. Thankfully we’re getting rain about every few days. But when not raining, that sun is HOT. Wait!!! You smoking your fig trees??? Be careful my friend. Keep YOURSELF and your plants hydrated my friend. Peace and blessings dear DCwC. 💛🌿🧑🏾‍🌾

  4. This heat is tough on containers. Glad your trees did not die. That rooster is on it. I like how you try different things out. The cedar trees was a big issue for my apple trees! This has been a tough year. We gonna have food though. Thanks for sharing. Stay hydrated brother.
