Hey, Texarkana! Have you always wanted to learn how to create a garden in your yard? Then mark your calendar for Monday, August 11, at Texas A&M University-Texarkana.
Gardening for Wildlife – Free Class, Texas A&M University-Texarkana
The Bowie County Master Gardeners and Texas A&M-Texarkana’s School of Professional Education and Community Engagement will host the program “Gardening for Wildlife,” starting at 6 PM. The class is FREE and open to anyone looking to improve their gardening experience or learn how to create the perfect garden. The class will take place in the University Building, Room 326. No reservation is required to attend.
How to Grow the Perfect Garden
Mrs. Penny Wilkerson, a Wildlife Biologist for Bowie County with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, will host the program. The program is designed to offer tips on how to create a garden environment that will attract birds, bees, butterflies, and other native animals to your backyard.
Not only will you turn your home into a desirable place to live, but with space for food, water, and shelter, you will help native species flourish in your newly created garden.
