I got this monstera cutting from a friend, for the first month is was in water and saw very little progress.
At first it was growing a bit, but then I moved to a new apartment with much lower humidity. Ive started using a humidifier, so the leaf itself still looks relatively healthy (though it might be curling??) It gets plenty of light (east facing window)
I decided to try putting it in soil (Miracle Gro tropical potting mix) two weeks ago, but upon inspection the roots have made next to no progress.
Is the brown node normal or indicative of another issue? Do I just need to be patient? Should I try cutting the node and putting it back in water? If it helps, I have experience growing a certain recreational plant, but other than that I’m a plant newbie. Any advice is appreciated!!
