So I have been taking advice for more than 2 months now, and I have finally completed my terrarium. It didn't turn out as I had imaged but well…what does. Thanks all who helped!
Created on Jul 26, light source mostly LEDs, substrate is vermicompost mixed with terrarium soil mix, with pebbles for drainage at the bottom. There is moss on the surrounding, sedum on a few spots, fittonia and bamboo palm. Since it’s not air sealed I sprinkle it on alternative day.

Wow thanks for the link to this post! This looks so cool! So what did you do to get the lights working? How did you cover the exposed wires and did you end up using batteries or an AC to DC converter of some sort?
