My friend and I are helping his 92 Y/o Grandma clean up her garden. We found this (she told us to leave it alone) which we found hilarious. Is it what we think it is?

The leaves look too fat and round to be the devil’s lettuce.

    Some kind of cinquefoil?

Nonetheless plantnet ID app *does* think it’s *weed* rather than a weed

  2. Comes in all shapes, sizes and tones. More that likely bird dropped some seed 😂

  3. It looks like a flower is forming at the peak, so that’s a good way to ID when it blooms. Weed doesn’t have that kind of flower, nor that leaf texture. Growth is a little odd too but there’s weird mutations that can occur so wouldn’t count that.

Sure as shit looks like it from a glance though!

If you rub the leaf does it have a smell? Weed doesn’t smell much like weed until it’s flowers.

Looks a lot like it to me, including flowering, but something does look abit off.

If you rip a bit of the leaf, crush it in your fingers and smell it, that should tell you

It is what you think . It looks this way due to weather they require 12hrs good sun and it’s too late in year now. They grow all stunted and wierd due to improper growing conditions.

  6. Lmao no that’s not cannabis. Many plants have that vague leaf shape.

Is it verbena? If it’s quite rough and spiky it could be that. I just did a Google lens on one in my garden like the one in your photo and it said verbena.

It’s Verbena. A hardy perennial. Grows tall and lanky with clusters of tiny purple flowers. Self seeds readily.

It’s Verbena, a hardy perennial which self seeds everywhere.

It’s not cannabis. The flowers forming on the top, the leaf structure and shape of the plant are all completely different.
    I grow outdoors trust me.
