All right, welcome back. I’m going to show you a backyard that is actually going in a magazine and it’s got the potential to be the cover. This is an absolute banger of a design. I’m going to point out the cool parts of this design that you can take with you if you’re looking for an outdoor space. If you want to enjoy outside, if you want to get off the phone, if you want to actually just sit out, read a book, have a cup of coffee, that kind of stuff, this is it. [Music] [Music] All right, I’m going to bring you in the sideyard. First thing you see are these arbor bodies. That is to create privacy and break up the line of sight from the neighbors. these will grow up and then boom, got a transition in between two columns that bam takes you up. I mean, right away, you’re just grabbed by these different pavers, the borders, the inlays, and all of a sudden, you even got a destination for a future. I think they’re going to do a fire table and some lounges and then put a TV up there. Here’s a couple of things that I want to break down. We even got a bed over here that’ll be for some future plantings, but let me bring it around. They already had the walls and we wanted to create a space that they can hang out. They got a new baby coming along. Now there’s room for the baby to kind of hang out here, the adults here, dining table, spot for the barbecue. We took an unusable, very small space. There’s only about I think 20 ft between here and created all this. Now, here’s a couple cool tips. Breaking up and softening everything with some landscaping along there. That’s your first tip. some stepping stones to this area and you notice, hey, there’s a different paver here. Integrating different pavers for different zones and defining those zones is always a cool trick. And then, of course, if you’re going to get a kit, which is a much more cost-effective way than a custom outdoor structure, they usually come with a power pack. All you got to do is slip the conduit in, electrician comes in, pick out a fan. Now you got a fan. You can be out here even in that August heat. Let me just take you around. Look at these beautiful pavers by county. Aren’t they incredible? Love this space. Here’s the final thing I want to say. If you’re going to create a separate way for someone to come in, make a statement just by putting some columns in, making that nice and wide and defining that getting hit after you come around this corner. You don’t really know what you’re going to walk up to. Kind of come through here. You come up and bam. Look at this. Got some beautiful softscaping. Got a river birch here. Got some evergreens. We actually frame this in so the baby can’t get out. It’s going to grow into a hedge. It’s got that kind of English courtyard feel with these evergreens, these boxwoods. So, a couple quick tips. If you’re going to put a gazebo, wire it up. Make sure you put the conduit in place. An electrician can get here. Put a ceiling fan on it. Use different pavers for different zones. Try some inlays to define spaces and break things up and make it look cool. And then when you soften things, mulch is a great way putting some evergreens in. Seasonal interest is going to look just like this in the winter when there’s snow on the ground. It’s an absolute cherry. These are the kinds of little things that you can do for your space to create entertaining, create cozy spaces for reading a book, having a cup of coffee, doing whatever. Check that out. Even a herring bone pattern versus back and forth breaks it up so much. [Music] [Music] If you want a space like this, starts with the design. Always start with the design. You plan it out. Go in the link below. This is what we do. I design for people all over the country. If you’re looking to get this kind of plan so that you can tackle it or if you’re in the St. Louis area and you want this installed, this is what we do. You want to go check out some more ideas, go check out that video. This is Bobby K saying. Creation is everything. So, go out, create. Give me a thumbs up if you like this one. I won’t quit. I got it. I won’t give up
