I’ve been trying to improve the look and health of my lawn here in Atlanta, and I noticed that switching up mowing patterns makes a bigger difference than I expected. I’ve tried stripes, circular, and even spirals around trees.
Also, has anyone noticed how robot mowers like the eufy ones handle these patterns? They seem to just wander but somehow keep the lawn pretty even. Would love to hear what patterns or techniques you all use for faster mowing and less stress on the grass.

I’ve never seen a robot mower leave a lawn looking good compared to a lawn mowed by a person that cares what it looks like. It’s more like what a lawn looks like after my 10 year old neighbor does it.

Pattern has nothing to do with it. A sharp blade is what you need.
Do whatever stupid pattern you want but make sure your blade is sharp
Sharp blade and changing the direction of mow regularly is more important.
