hey guys it’s Jess welcome back to my channel for another video so today we’ve got some front porch modifications to do it is June 1st when I’m filming and as you guys can see behind me we’ve still got Easter out here so we are going to be redecorating today i have done a ton of plant shopping so there’s a lot of stuff that I want to kind of like repot and change and decorate with so let’s just go ahead and get to work [Music] all right y’all so do you guys remember my front porch decor video i believe from April this was my Easter decoration and it has served its purpose i’ve been loving it up here but the bunny’s got to go okay so we’re going to be taking those down packing them up and then I’ve got a ton of plants that I want to get potted up and redecorate but first things first do y’all see all of this pollen and dirt on my doorstep we’re definitely going to be pressure washing today so let’s go ahead and clean first and then I’ll show you guys what I’m going to be potting [Music] up all [Music] [Music] right you guys so this patio set behind me it was never intended to be here this long i ordered it several years ago i want to say like six years ago for the Weday sale and it came in way smaller than I thought it was going to be so I’m actually going to be moving these to my backyard patio and I have some new cute rocking chairs that we’re going to be putting out for the season let’s go ahead and clean up sorry to wake you up all right it doesn’t look too bad i actually think I can just use my blower blow everything off and then just use my jet spray on my hose so instead of dragging out my pressure washer we going to make this real easy [Music] heat heat all [Music] right you guys so I got everything all washed off and clean and it feels so much better up here not to have that pollen so as things are drying out I’m going to go ahead and show you guys my new pieces of furniture we’ll get all that set up and then we’ll get to planting ooh I am so loving it you guys so these are two rocking chairs that I purchased from Home Depot y’all i saw they had them on sale for $49 each and I hurried up and hopped on it i have always wanted rocking chairs on my front porch but they’re always so expensive like they’re always like 100 plus for one chair when I saw they had one for $49 and I could get two for the price of one I snagged them up these are by Hampton Bay and just a warning you guys let me give you a closeup because these did not come with any care instructions but if you use water on these I have very hard water here by the way but if you leave water sitting on them they will kind of mess up the paint job so yeah mine aren’t as shiny as they were when I first got them but I still think they’re gorgeous so I’m going to go ahead and get everything set out potted up and we’ll get to planting all right y’all so here are two pots that I have been considering the one on the right if you guys remember I purchased that one I want to say about two months ago from the farmers market when they were running their pot sale hold on to them because I was going to put them in my backyard but I’m still loving them up front here y’all so we’re going to try those i did also purchase two of the ones on the left from At Home when they were running their buy one get one sale and I don’t know y’all when I step back and look at it I just feel like it’s a lot of black like a whole lot of black let me give you guys a view from the front so here’s what it looks like from the front view i just feel like with the black chairs my black shutters my black door the black pot is just a little bit too much black for me y’all but I am loving the blue so initially I was going to put the two blue ones beside my door and I felt like it was too much of a pop of color but I think here it works out perfectly so I’m going to go with those two we probably will return the other two i’m going to hold on to them just in case I need a pot let’s go ahead and get the two blue ones potted up all right y’all so y’all know that I have been on a whole Japanese maple kick i have four up here that I want to pot up i’m going to keep them in pots until they put on some more size and then I’ll eventually transplant them out into the landscape let me turn the camera around and show you guys what we’ve got all right so first up we have my blood good Japanese maple i did purchase this one from Walmart it was 1997 y’all so this one is so small and cute so I definitely want to put this one into a container beside it so I went to Lowe’s and the same day that I went they had just got a fresh shipment in of these gorgeous Autumn Moon Japanese maples this one has been on my wish list so when I saw it in Lowe’s I was like “What?” They were originally marked 149 as you guys can see and the ones that they had in the front looked perfect they had this single one back in the back and it had a little bit of damage on it as you guys can see here and then up here a little bit of scorch um as well as some damaged branches so y’all know me i’m going to ask for a discount in a heartbeat so I pulled the manager to the side i showed him the damage on the tree and I was like “Are you willing to mark this down?” And he was like “Absolutely bring it to the front i’ll mark it down for you.” When I tell y’all “Ask and ye shall receive.” I have been saying that for years if you see something that is not in perfect condition just ask y’all the worst they can say is no so I originally had this one in my cart 149 i got this tree for 60 bucks y’all do you see how big this is look at this maple and it is Monrovia i love Monroia’s plants but y’all 60 bucks for an autumn moon that made my day so we’re definitely going to be potting this one up today and then also I shared this one with you guys in my previous video as well this is another Japanese maple that I purchased from Nakatomi Gardens this one is Oh hold on hold on i’ve got my vine is trying to grow on here okay look mandavia stay over there okay we will find something for you to trail on but this is another moon Japanese maple this one is called Moonshine so this one is so small that I definitely want to put this one in container until it gets some size on it and I told y’all a whole lie i definitely have five Japanese maples not four so we have two more over here this one is a geisha gone wild i showed this one in my previous video this one is in a nice small container so I’m definitely going to pot this one up and then lastly we have my other gorgeous Shaina or Cheyana i’m still not sure how to pronounce this one this one I also got from Lowe’s and she has a pretty good size on her y’all so I think I’m going to keep her in this pot for now until I find a permanent location for her i also wanted to show you guys these these are some plant caddies that I got from Aldi you guys of all places and when I tell you these are super heavy and good quality i did get three of them they had them in three different colors they had gray brown and this black and they are such good quality y’all so I’m going to put my plants on these to make them easier to move around they do also have wheel locks on them as well so love those i’m going to put the pots on these first we’ll get them potted up and I’ll show you what it looks like oh yeah that’s nice okay so I’m going to move these for now all right y’all so my neighbor’s mowing so I had to go run and get my mic i hope y’all can hear me okay but this is the mesh that I use to line all of the bottom of my pots i have shared this several times if you guys watch any of my house plant videos you have seen this before so I’m just going to get this cut down to line the bottom of the pot here so that no soil falls out and I just get this mesh from Walmart y’all it’s like maybe like 50 cents for like a few yards so it’s very very inexpensive you also can use coffee filters there’s all types of things you can use they even sell like actual pot liners now that you can get on Amazon i’m just going to set this down the bottom and we’ll get it filled up with soil so and this bag is super heavy okay one two three see if I can do this without making a total mess you know what make this real easy not breaking my back today we’re going to use my scoop i got this for 97 cents from Walmart so I got about 3/4 of the way full let’s go ahead and pull the plant out first i want to see how big the root ball is before I fill up anymore so let’s do the geisha gone wild first this one has a smaller root ball so I probably could have filled in more but it’s okay roots look good i’m not even going to bother teasing them too much and sitting a little bit lower than I want it to [Music] sit there i think that’s about perfect i want it sitting just about an inch below the lip of the pot and let’s make sure she’s centered and now I can back [Music] [Music] fill this will go a whole lot faster now [Music] okay I think I want to do the moonshine in this one and this one does have a little bit bigger root ball oh boy okay hold on i might have to take some out always do [Music] that oh hold on her dirt is not all [Music] together oh boy okay oh not too bad okay so let’s get her centered is the important part here we go and I can use this to back fill whoa it’s okay i’m just going to have to reblow off my nicely washed patio [Music] this worked out perfect okay look at God okay you’re not exactly centered but it’s okay all right so I got both of the maples platted up let me go ahead and roll them into their [Music] spot all [Music] right next this is one of the planters that I diyed like six years ago they used to be gray i spray painted them black it does need another touch-up job i just hosed it down cuz it was super dirty but I want to go ahead and put my autumn moon maple in this one because it is a larger root ball I want it to have enough room to fill out in the pot so the soil that was in this pot has been sitting out for about 3 years i did take off about half of the top layer i’m going to refresh it with some This is some biotone starter fertilizer I have in this bag here just to refresh the soil a little bit and then we’ll top it off with some nice potting soil [Music] all right y’all continuing to break down the cord we got this whole section cleared out which feels really good so I still need to pot up my Japanese maple i do also want to go ahead and pot up this hydrangeanger here i do plan on getting a nice little table to go in the center of my chairs right there and I want to set that pot on there so we’ll go ahead and pot that up and then lastly today I want to go ahead and pot up my geranium as well my driveway is looking a little crazy right now but I think I want to use that pot right there for the geranium and then we can use this one for the hydrangeanger [Music] hey down [Music] all right y’all so I got all the plants potted up so I have my geranium tucked in that pot there and then I potted up my hydrangeanger and this one here this one is going to go onto a tabletop in the center of my two rocking chairs once I find one and then also I went to Home Depot you guys my boyfriend has been wanting to grow strawberries for the longest so I went to go pick him up a strawberry plant so here’s one that I purchased from Lowe’s clearance y’all know I don’t know anything about growing food i am all about the trees shrubs and flowers this is a foreign thing for me so this one is called Reculte Constant i don’t know if that’s the name or if it’s a Ricult Constant strawberry i don’t know anything about growing strawberries but it says “Strawberries are high in vitamin C and rich in fiber this variety produces sweet delicious berries all season long ideal for pies jams and eating fresh.” This one is hardy to zone three they produce fruit from June to September and they take full to partial sun so that is the one that I potted up over here on the left you guys can see I already have four strawberries for me and then this one right here I tucked in a cute little cloch um I got that one for free from Home Depot the guy couldn’t find the tag so he was like “Just take it.” That one is a pink strawberry so we’ll see how they do all right y’all i’m just about done and we are getting ready to expect some rain but I really quickly wanted to go ahead and pop in these two plants right here these are two Brunner that I picked up y’all I have been wanting Brunner for so long and I finally have some shady spots in my area where I think it will thrive this one is called Frost Kiss let me pull the tag my bad i said it wrong it’s called Frostbite it is a heartleaf brunra this one does take full shade it grows about 6 to 9 in blooms in the spring and this one is hardy zones 4 through 9 so let’s go ahead and get these two in the ground because do y’all see this skyline it’s about to downpour well I was too late it’s already starting to rain so hopefully I can finish this up after the rain and just like that 7 minutes later the rain is gone so I’m going to go ahead and get these in the ground ooh y’all i’m loving how it looks right here and I can’t wait for them to fill in so I do want them to kind of create like a ground cover here so I know it’s going to run into that hydranger there totally fine with it these two over here are two hookeras that I purchased on my last shopping trip these are actually going to be going in my backyard shade garden which I’m so loving i love the hot pink bloom and the dark foliage it’s so pretty so this one is a hooker called Black Forest Cake can’t wait to get those planted front patio makeover is all done and I am loving the vibes like it came out so so pretty this is totally different from my norm but I am so loving it so over here I did decide to keep my same wreath i feel like this wreath can carry me spring summer and fall like flowers just carry all three seasons and I’m loving the green and white down here in the corner I did decide to keep one of the pots that I got from at home i feel like it tucks into this little corner perfectly and I just decided to pop in my tiny little blood good Japanese maple isn’t it cute y’all now this one will get massive over time but while it’s a baby I’m going to enjoy it here in the corner i did also leave my little watering can i just took out the little flower bouquet I had in there um so I can easily water these if I need to and I do plan on coming in with a probably a black stake um and some twist ties to get rid of this like bold bamboo and white tape um just so it can train up and be a little bit more discreet but I’m loving the corner nice and simple and then over here we have my stunner this is my autumn moon Japanese maple and y’all I love it here i think it’s so different and I’m loving the pop of color now I know my theme up here is all pink and white but just disregard for the trees you guys they need shade for now just to recover also from my Easter pots I decided to pop out my wisteria here this is faux wisteria but I think it’s pretty y’all just adds a little drape over the side of the pot um I’m not sure if I’m going to keep it here i just wanted to keep it for the video i do plan on going to get some more walarana y’all know that’s my favorite annual they take full shade and I think they’ll be really pretty to fill in the base of this beside it I have my moonrise Japanese maple this one is so pretty i love the lime green and I think it fits perfectly in this planter and I’m loving the pop of blue over here it looks so pretty we have my large I don’t know why this came back so huge and healthy you guys like this was a tiny tiny little small you know little small like floral Mother’s Day um gift hydrangeas that they have every year i purchased like six of them last year on clearance and look how big it came back this year y’all like I’m loving how big it is in the container you can’t even see my walana so I might take this one out um but I do have a white blooming walana in here if my camera will focus so yeah you can’t even see it so I might pop that out and put it in the pot and then over here this one right here is my tuxedo hydrangeanger this one look at the blooms y’all isn’t that so so stunning so this is the same color they were last year it looks like I have a lot less buds this year which I’m totally fine with i love the foliage on this one this one is so pretty i love the dark serrated edge and then it also comes out with this pretty dark color and then it fades to green love love love that hydranger and it’s doing great in its pot down here I did pop in my geranium this one was one that I got on clearance from Lowe’s and I think I’m probably going to move it to the corner here just so we can get a little bit more sun to help it bloom this hydrangeanger down here is going to end up on a table which haven’t got the table yet i’m going to go shopping right after this video but I do plan on putting a little table in between the two chairs so that will be the centerpiece to go there this right here is a h I cannot remember the name i’ll have to pop it on the screen and go back and watch my plant haul video but this is one I got on clearance from Lowe’s cut it back super hard and all of this is new growth since I bought it y’all like I will insert a before picture for you so you can see how bad it was i’m so happy with how this has leafed out my geranium over here is also rocking the pink and white vibe so here’s the tag for this one this one is by Monrovi did get it on clearance from Lowe’s it’s called Caliop Medium White Splash and I just love the pink and white once it’s in bloom so yeah this one definitely needs sun to help it perform so I will move it out from underneath these hydrangeas once I get my table to put that on and then also of course you guys just saw in the last clip that I did plant these two frostbite brunna when I tell y’all I am so thrilled to finally have some brunna in my garden like I just love this silvery heart-shaped leave i think it’s so pretty and it has some sheen to it my camera is not doing it justice can y’all see that sheen it is so so stunning and it totally brightens up this small little corner here so here is the view of the front for you guys i’m kind of standing in the middle of my bed here but I did decide to repurpose my old pillows just cuz I love the black and white y’all i am so loving it i know my blessed pillows look more tan they used to be white those pillows are like 5 years old at this point probably more than 5 years i think I got them before co um but I just love their saying and I haven’t been able to find them anywhere i got them from Walmart for $5 each and they haven’t brought them back so I’m enjoying them for now um over here on the right side I have my geisha gone wild Japanese maple i do need to go and get another steak for that one as well but y’all I feel like the blue pots are so subtle but they add just the perfect pop of color and haven’t decided if I want to get one of those little garden drums that’s going to be a color or just a black table to go in the center haven’t decided yet i’ll go see what I can find from the stores today and then over here on the right side I have another repeat of the Mother’s Day tiny little floral hydranger that has come back so lush the blooms on it are gorgeous same thing in the taller pot um that one was a little bit smaller um which is what I was expecting this year and then you can see I still have another um walana tucked in the front there which y’all this is so so perfect so I do also have plans to hang a hummingbird feeder possibly i also need to hang my fuchsia as well and I haven’t decided if I wanted to do just like a shepherd’s hook type of thing if I wanted to get something that I could hang here or still deciding if I want to hang hooks from up here you guys but down here this is my fuchsia it has been doing amazing y’all i got it on Lowe’s clearance and look at the blooms y’all it is loaded and still producing more and more buds it’s doing great up here it gets shade and then a short little block of afternoon sun so yeah y’all i am just loving the vibes out here i’ll come out and put my little citronanella candle and me and Jaxi are just going to enjoy the garden so that is going to conclude today’s video i am actually going to go in pull out my citronanella candle and Jaxi and I are just going to sit out here and enjoy the garden it’s a nice cool afternoon now that the rain has come and I hope you all enjoyed the video as always leave me a comment down below subscribe for more and I will catch you in my next one peace As always you have done it again. Love it
Jaxley was so cute in the rocking chair. You would have thought he had been doing all of the work and not you. The porch looks great and I think the rocking chairs were a good decision.
Jess, your front porch looks sooo great 😊❤. Love the black rockers. A table between the rockers will be perfect!! Enjoyed watching this video. Wishing you a wonderful evening ❤
Such a beautiful job as usual. You have a great eye. I got my first Japanese maple this year too. Kinda scared cause I don’t want to kill such an expensive plant. Kudos!
I keep my Easter bunnies till fall 😂
Hi.. does you gutter go down into your garden and water it? I kinda saw something.
Monrovia has the best plants, what a score!!
I just got soooo many ideas from this one video
I also did not do edibles but my husband wanted peppers and tomatoes and now I have fruit trees, berry bushes, and a veggie bed lol. You are about to start.
I’m loving the rocking chairs and all of the plants.😂
Love your patio revamp!!! What about a rug under your rocking chairs?( just a thought)❤I look forward to watching you. You simply amaze me plant, replant and plant again. Wow the maple discount was really a blessing.
Jaxley is so cute! What kind of breed is he?
Love the colors and the Japanese maples. I'm inching closer to getting two. Bought two brunneras yesterday. Great job!😊
Just beautiful! You find the most amazing deals at your Lowe’s. How often do you go?
Very pretty. The pink flowers with the black and white pillows is very nice. Jaxley relaxing in the chair makes an adorable addition ❤

Everything you did today was A+. Love the yellow maple!
Jax was not pleased when you displaced him, but he really approves of the makeover.😍
You look so cute today in this video Jess!! LOVE LOVE LOVE the porch refresh & I immediately was like “BLUE pots!!” When you showed them on screen🤣 Jaxley is such a sweet well behaved boy😍
Everything looks so good 💯
Hello, Jess! Your porch looks so nice! I love the blue/green pots. They're the perfect proportion!❤
You get the best deals and I am so jealous of your stores getting some nice clearance plants . First of all my Home Depot does not even do clearance and my Walmart barely has any plants and my Lowe’s is the only place that do clearance but the selections are not great and once in a blue moon I will get a nice shrub . Anyways I am loving everything from the decor to the chairs to the plants !!! Also plant caddies and wheels are a game changer !!
Hello, I'm not into rocking chairs, but it's an awesome price
Hi Jess! Everything looks so beautiful! I love your new rocking chairs. They're such a wonderful addition to your porch! Can't wait to see what style table you choose.

You did great on the porch refresh..You can buy coear coat from Lowes or Home Depot to spray on your rocking chairs to protect them from the weather and sun..Be Blessed ❤
Your front porch looks great, a colorful rug under your rocking chairs would really make it pop,
The rocking chairs look really nice and inviting, as does all the potted up trees and plants – such a pretty place to sit and enjoy the garden!
I enjoyed your post!
Love love love ❤️ your front porch! I purchase 3 of those $19 Japanese Maples from Walmart. I put one in the ground & 2 in Ceramic Beautiful pots. So Adorable!!❤❤❤

Looks GORGEOUS!!! Great job!!!!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
I’ve always heard that the florist hydrangea comes back really full and nice as long as you take extra care of them.
Honey, let me tell you why I got SUPER excited when I saw the title, "Ask and ye shall receive." I just KNEW you were about to say that you were gifting me your hose reell . . . All bc I ASKED. 🤭😳
Beautiful, Jess. You just have a knack for decorating. I just get myself all wound up in knots! (LOL)
