I had tree work done and they brought in the bucket. My hard now has massive tire lines that are inches deep. Any tips on how to fix this?

Buy some bulk topsoil and level. Reseed in the spring.

Get a pitchfork and use it to uncompact the soil.

You can cut the sod roll it back and add soil to the divots & compress roll back grass!
Very labour intensive but, the company that damaged your lawn either help you put it back to the way it was or you can do all the work?
I’m thinking you should probably get the trucking company to pay for their mistake!
Social media can help you help the company make it right…
    Don’t take this lying down…

Bro, let me tell you about the hole’s only natural enemy, the pile. Get ya some dirt piled in.

Most tree companies would put plywood down to distribute the load and prevent rutting. Since the damage is done pick one of the alternatives the others on the thread mentioned, all sounded fine.

They should’ve laid some boards down to drive on, it would minimize these depressions

Call whoever did it and say you didn’t pay for that.

Spreading a little bit of topsoil over it every few days and not mowing it until it’s level should do the trick.

After our pool was done I had the same issue, except a bit deeper than your ruts and no grass at all. I spread grass seed, then topsoil, and watered it religiously. Every time the grass got tall enough I’d spread some more soil until little by little it was level.

contact them with an opportunity to remedy the situation. If that doesn’t work send them the invoice for having a landscape company fix it for you.

Good grade soil with a 70/30 mix and seed. Get a land lever and match the preexisting soil level. Than use a roller or compactor to make the newly seeded area some strength so the seed stay in place. Don’t forget to water twice a day as dry seeds will not germinate.

Use some type of shears to cut the grass short in the tracks ( lawnmower can’t get to it) and rake in some top soil. Do half now and the rest in the spring. You can even sprinkle some grass seed, as well.

Seems like an opportunity to put in some interesting native plants to bring more life into the space. Grass is over- rated.

  13. You ask the tree folks to come fix preventable damage. This is careless and unprofessional

Seriously folks, what contractors are you working with the would leave this?
Not a chance this would fly in my area. Any tree service would be back to fix it or get blacklisted in my town.
Any service industry business owner that would leave this without a prior agreement/ discussion about it is a corner cutting POS. (I welcome any of you reading this and making excuses for why you cut corners like this, to convince me otherwise).

Lay down a towel and run a hot iron over it, hit the steam, and it should pop right out…

The contractor should correct this as part of their service. It’s called restoration.

Dig out all the soil in your yard to match the tire track depth…I like doing things the hard way

Ask them to come back through a few times until its all lower?

Cut the grass into sod and flip it over. Fill the trench with topsoil. flip the sod back over the fill dirt.

Pick up the phone and call them

    They need to fix it

It’s crazy they didn’t climb it.
