welcome back to Arm Forager today we’re just going to look around and see how many plants we can discover that are edible in 60 seconds well here we go right away here’s one this one is called nipple wart and you’ll see it gives off that white milky latex nipple wart’s a great edible plant aringent but great also right next to it we have some catchweed uh this stuff is real sticky there it is and this is very edible right here next to some other plants is Stinky Bob or Herb Robert this entire plant is edible it is very potent though has a a taste to it here’s also some cats ear uh you can tell from the blunted end and it’s very fuzzy this is not dandelion still very good right here one of my favorite plants this is water leaf this is abundant and it is very tasty this one’s right next to the trail so I’m not going to eat this one here’s some St john’s wart so this is very medicinal so if you use this for medicine this is great there is a certain season and a certain time to eat this here’s some thimbleberry looks like maple and there was some slug goo on it this looks like a new leaf uh you can eat thimbleberry leaves not just the fruit all right I got to be careful cuz it’s right next to this poison oak but here’s some aans so here’s the Aven plant i’m going to grab this and uh this one is completely edible again this is right next to the trail so I’m not going to eat this one okay last but not least this is a true dandelion not cats like we had earlier but this is true dandelion this one uh is right next to the trail and against better judgment uh just because dandelion’s so amazing I’m just going to take a little bit of this and right now this is perfect uh good salad lettuce right here and again uh with asteracier majority of the plants they’re going to have this white milky latex and you’ll find the same thing in like storebought lettucees and so that’s no surprise there isn’t any more toxin necessarily in this than what you would get from storebought lettuce but it does have that aringent taste and flavor and it is very bitter but as always know what you’re eating and if you can boil or cook these in some way do what’s right and stay safe just some honorable mentions narrow leaf plantain we got some wall lettuce here and I did notice some Hawthorne
