gorgeous halfmoons, but with the uncertainty of mooning and lower var, or the super high varigation beauty? either way i got a great deal at costco for 40$ for this quality, but im struggling to choose which one to keep and which is going to go to my friend 😭

Not a rare plant. But keep the 2nd. Much prettier

Edit: 2nd photo. the high var one. Not the half moon

2nd pic is slightly more fenestrated and has better constellation-like variegation(the other one is more sectoral, which is just not my thing).

100% the second one. The variegation and the leaves are better

Another vote for the marbled one with the secondary fennys 🔥

  5. I feel like the more marbled ones tend to stay healthier looking. The big white patches dry out.

I’d go with the marbled one as you are less likely to have melting if you end up with root or light issues. Sectoral variegation is fun, but it can be a real pain in the ass. Either way, congrats!

Middle pic has much better overall variegation. The half moon really only has one nicely variegated leaf and the half moon leaves tend to start killing off the white pretty easily if they don’t get a ton of light.

The more variegated one. No half moon. :3

See, this is why I always end up with two…! Besides, if for some reason one doesn’t make it, you’ve got a backup!
