I bought this Lily before it bloomed and here we are a few days later with petals double/triple layered on each flower! I’ve never seen this before and would love to ask the florist for this kind of lily again, but I’m afraid it’s just an odd mutation and I should just enjoy it while it lasts.

Yup. The white ones have the strongest scent.

No, the single ones are Stargazers. The double oriental lilies like Anoushka are this type. “Double oriental” should get you close. Some wholesalers call them rose lilies.

Be careful because these types of lilies, Asiatic lilies, are highly deadly to cats. Even coming in contact with their pollen will kill them within a day

This looks to be a rose lily or a ‘double lily’. Great thing about these type of lillies are they are cat-friendly because they do not have the pollen like regular Lillie’s that can be highly poisonous to cats.
I’ve seen quite a few with different names that look similar to the stargazer lily with its bright pink petals edged in white with red freckles on its upward face!

A rose lily. Not a stargazer. Rose lilies are a double lily, which have more than double the standard five petals.

  6. I see a lot of people saying these are stargazer lilies. That is not correct. Stargazers are my VERY favorite flower. These are double oriental rose lilies.

I have both growing in my garden… The Stargazers smell especially amazing, but they are both stunning!

Rose Lily aka double Lily. Becoming more popular lately.
