going to film this plant one more time before it finishes flowering this is a styrex japonica the Japanese bell flower it has quite a few different common names it’s just uh gorgeous it gets about 25 ft tall comes from China uh Japan Korea and it has these lovely sort of downward hanging bells which smell just gorgeous it’s one of the strongest smelling plants and the smell just wafts for ages and just look underneath it all these like a whole snow carpet of of these uh flowers just everywhere um so you’ve got uh like a reflection of the flowers on the plants all underground as well or on on the ground rather and deciduous tree uh likes neutral to slightly acid pH um and uh it’s pretty tough and it just looks lovely it’s like all layers of different uh different uh bits with the green on top and then the white underneath it just looks so so unusual and uh so different uh this is definitely one plant I’m going to be looking out for um and it’s uh it’s just amazing it’s set to be quite easy to grow here it’s growing in uh I suppose it’s in semi- shape there’s quite a big tree over there and sun coming in from this way and it seems pretty happy here uh so yeah really really beautiful this would be good for a small garden it doesn’t get too big and it’s just very very exotic and unusual um and uh the smell is amazing the smell wafts for a long way uh quite often you see people looking around where it’s coming from but it’s coming from this and uh this is just a very very gorgeous tree and lots of different styles to choose from but so far out of all the ones I’ve seen this is definitely my favorite one

  1. And bees go insane for it. All of em… honey bees, black bumble bees, multicolored bumble bees. They're so darned cute hanging upside down gorging themselves. It's always a delightful sight.
