I made a mistake of ordering seeds from Amazon as none local stores had any. Does this look like creeping thyme?

Doesnt look like it to me, something in the carrot/celery family like dill, or cumin, grind a couple up and see if they have a strong smell

  2. Definitely not, creeping thyme seeds are teeny tiny. Does it smell like dill? It kinda looks like maybe dill.

I can’t answer the question but I just wanted to let you know I’ve had good luck with Etsy for seeds I have a hard time finding elsewhere. I always vet the sellers first, I make sure they’re actually from the US, check reviews for pics to see what people are actually receiving, and then I search the seller on reddit. I’ve only done it a couple times but both times I was able to find multiple people vouching for the sellers. When I get the seeds I still double check that they look how they’re supposed to, because I’m still paranoid someone will burn me and sell me something awful like Japanese knot weed seeds or whatever lol

creeping thyme is so small, this is definitely not them

  5. Nope. Only buy seeds from a reputable seller. Usually, if you want to see what it is, germinate one inside and seewhat it blooms as. I wouldn’t try it with this one, considering the deadly poison hemlock is in this family of seeds.

Please dont plant these, definitely not creeping thyme. Their seeds will look like dust.

I know seeds are cheaper but I have had a lot more success with putting in plugs. They do spread fast and will spread their seeds

Please don’t plant creeping thyme far from its native range. It’s already an introduced weed in some areas.

Thank you all! Yeah, it smells like fennel or dill! I foolishly germinated them inside and then even planted them yesterday in my garden. Felt so betrayed when I was plucking them out today and throwing in trash! Then I went to a local nursery and bought some thyme plants!
