Rabat — Security authorities discovered the body of a 35-year-old doctor buried in her husband’s garden on July 17, three days after she mysteriously vanished from Fez.

The victim worked at the Ghassani Regional Hospital in Fez.

Police found the victim’s remains in a freshly dug hole in the garden of a house in the Ouled Zbair area of Taza province.

The doctor’s husband and father reported her disappearance to security services after she vanished without explanation.

Officers from the Fez Regional Judicial Police Service conducted intensive investigations to locate the missing woman.

Investigators tracked her cell phone’s location data, which led them to her husband’s house in the Ouled Zbair commune.

A thorough search of the property involved security forces, royal gendarmerie, scientific police, and trained dogs.

The search team discovered bloodstains on the husband’s car parked in front of the house.

Investigators then found the doctor’s body buried in the garden. The remains showed signs of violent physical assault.

Local newspapers reported that the victim’s husband left Morocco for France shortly after reporting his wife missing.

The husband’s departure raised suspicions about his involvement in the crime.

Authorities have reportedly issued national and international arrest warrants for the suspect husband.

Police transferred the doctor’s body to the forensic medicine department at Ghassani Regional Hospital in Fez for autopsy.

Security authorities continue their investigation under the supervision of the Public Prosecutor’s Office.

The heinous crime has deeply disturbed the Ouled Zbair community in Taza province. Locals have expressed outrage and called on authorities to pursue the perpetrators and impose the harshest penalties to protect citizens’ lives and safety.

The investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to bring those responsible to justice.
