Want to grow a new plant without using seeds? Try this clever gardening trick. Just peel the bark off a healthy twig, wrap the exposed area with moist soil and plastic, and wait a few weeks. Roots will start to grow right on the branch. Once rooted, cut it off and plant it in soil. It’s that easy. This technique is called air layering, and it’s pure plant magic.
