I took some photos of the problem, and some showing the closest light source and the size of the pot. I got the plant in June so it's relatively new. I'm also new to plants, but I have been spraying water on the leaves around once a week and watering when I've noticed the top layer of soil getting dry. Anyone know what the problem might be?

Probably just needs more sun. But could also have pests. Did you get a good look at the leaves? Both top and under.
You can cut off the dead flower and the ugly leaves. It won’t hurt the plant. If you have pests depending on what you have, there are different course of actions that you can take.
Spraying can cause bacterial/fungal issues on leaves and watering whenever the top soil looks dry can lead to overwatering. I’d suggest you stop spraying the leaves and take the plant out of the pot to check on the roots to see if theres any root rot
You might as well keep it in a dark room. It needs to be directly in the window.
Spraying the leaves is pretty bad, in nature there is wind, so rain is completely fine, but inside, air is mostly stagnant, so by leaving water droplets on leaves, you invite fungal and bacterial infections. A shower or wipedown to clean dusty leaves on occasion is fine, but don’t spray it. If you want to raise humidity around it, get a humidifyer, they add micro moisture to the air, so no dropplets, but anthuriums, especially the type you have can handle dry air so there is no need.
It seems like you’re overwatering also. You need to check if the soil is dry at the bottom of the pot. The top level can dry out even in a day and look very dry, whereas the bottom is soaking wet. So lift the pot a bit, if it is on the heavier side, it is well watered, if it becomes very light, time to water. You can also check by inserting your finger into the pot, or a dry unlacquered wooden skewer/chopstick. If it comes out dry, water, if it is wet, or there are moist chunks of soil sticking to it (not dust, that means it is dry), then wait and check again in a different spot in a few days.
For watering you can use a bowl with water, and just put the pot inside so it can take up as much as it needs, leave for 30ish minutes, lift shake a bit so excess drips out and put back in its decorative pot.
Note: flowers are not forever, the flowers drying and dying is fine, for the plant leaves are important, if the leaves look good, the plant is doing well even if the flowers are dying or no new flowers emerge.
I don’t think you need to spray the leaves. I’m still learning plants, and have only had one of these for about a year but mine has been doing well worh watering every 2 or 3 days. Also – sometimes the time of day that you are watering can make a difference. If the plant has standing water on itself, that can amplify/burn from the sun’s rays. Hope you figure it out!!
