Look at this. Now, here we’re in only an ant. He’s nothing. Look at the size of this fella. And then this is the best part here. This looks beautiful. These are all the beans. These are all black beans here growing. So lush looks amazing, doesn’t it? Yeah. Wow. Look, he’s proper grabbing onto the tree, which I was hoping for. That’s gas. Wow, the beans. The beans look beautiful. Chickpeas are the same. Yeah. And look at the And look at the chilies. Yeah, the chickpeas are chilling. But look, this one has a flower on it, which will turn into a chickpea if it’s pollinated. You know, have to worry them. Yeah, for sure. Sage could look a bit better. The rest of them are okay. Oh, yeah. I’m getting there for sure. Yeah. Look, there’s the chilies there. I don’t know what these two things are, but then cuz these are the chitties that are growing up. All the like flowers and treble is doing well. Herbs. Yeah. Again, sage could be better, but we’re going to give it a good old watering once I swap into some different shoes. I don’t mind getting dirty. These are kind of the same to be honest. They’re a little bigger. Some of them are going back and some of them are growing more. These because of the fence? No, I think it’s just because they’re they’re all like together, you know, but at the same time like some will die off and then they’ll become nutrients and stuff. Let’s see that one in the melon and these are looking great. Coffee is gone. Yeah, like they’re there like it’s like it’s like a jungle. Looks like beans are the way to go, bro. We got to grow more beans. I just eat beans. Yeah, the melon’s doing great. That one’s slow, but he’s doing good. Our own chili conc carne. And that flower dead as maybe it’ll come back. Who knows? These ones had just like bad on the ground. And what was in here again? Trying to remember. And look. Ah, look. Some basil. Yeah. Oh, can’t believe that. Some basil leaves. Little buzz. I’m trying to remember what was here because I remember there was cardamon like over here somewhere or over I think the cardamon. Yeah, the cardamon was over there. Forget what we put here. I’ll I’ll type it in in the edit or maybe I’ll remember in like 2 minutes. The beans. Oh my god, that’s blowing my mind. Strawberry could be better. Again, we’re going to water everything. Yeah, I put the dry ones here. Yeah, this is new here. And all the trebles look great. The widow trees are lasting. Man, that’s blowing my mind. So lush. Asparagus chilling. It’s good to be home. Yeah, probably will add some more herbs into the garden or something like that within the next few weeks cuz we have a cool machine that we’re going to be using with herbs and stuff like that for like oils and alcohol. So sprays, cosmetics. Yeah. So I’ll I’ll show you that once we’re actually doing something with it. There’s a big plan we have for this whole garden. Honestly, it feels like I’m coming back to see like a dog or something that I hadn’t seen in a while. It’s like a look at the guys. Look at they’re all getting on. Feel like a feel like a plant mom. Do you ever hear that? Plant moms. Feel like one of them. Yeah. All that water is getting sucked up there getting absorbed into those. You can see like the edge. It’s getting absorbed as it’s going through into the ground, you know. do the river first, wake it back up again, and then yeah, we’ll spray all over. They’re sick, man. I’m so for that. That looks great. And he’s huge as well. All right, so it’s another day. Um, this is the next day from the last. And yeah, we had some cool updates coming up now. So, I’m going to point them out to you. First one is it’s Elena’s birthday today. She’s on the way. This was going to show cuz now some of them have it. I don’t know if it all happened last night or whatever. We didn’t notice when we got in yesterday, but there are chickpeas growing on some of these plants. So there’s one and then the other one’s in the corner. There’s a little one, a little one. And so we’re hoping more to come. Obviously, everything kind of looks the same as yesterday. Other than that, um trimmed a few leaves off of some things, you know, just helping them out. Going to do maybe a little bit more over here with the willow trees. Um but yeah, no, the big news is we’re actually going within the next few weeks going to be expanding this garden here to um essentially I point it out here. This fence will keep going. I won’t turn left. I pop on this rock here. We’re going to do is going to have the fence continue straight either this side or the or the outside of the tree. I’d say the outside have it continue down either like keep it on the same kind of straight path through here or we’ll also maybe curve it a little bit right to have a bit more space. And then yeah, it’s going to basically connect to this fence over here where the neighbors are. This fence and then back up to our camper van, you know, like where the berries are and stuff. and we’ll have all this space. Um, what we plan to do with it is we plan to build a food forest. You probably seen, maybe you have seen some videos on YouTube of food forest. I know I’ve seen so many. So, I’m just going to go off of a few videos I’ve seen uh with some tactics. And yeah, so basically the tactics are plant as much as possible and plant them around trees and kind of do like a density thing. So like tree in the middle and then I saw this guy. I’ll reference them in the editing, but I saw this guy and you would do like this island technique which I really like. So you like start from a tree and then build around in circular uh motion, you know, with like slightly smaller and smaller stuff and then plant another tree here and do the same and then maybe one island becomes two as they grow out to each other and all that jazz. And then yeah, what we want to do is build like a nice kind of path this way. And from the original entrance, build a nice kind of pathway that you can walk around. And again, we want to do a swale 2.0. That was more like a test one. It was a bit steep for my liking. It’s a bit too deep and and narrow. I’d rather like bit flatter, a bit wider just to have the water travel along there and try to use the kind of natural hills that are here. Like the river could kind of go bit this way. Might be hard to see in the camera. There’s like another natural dip here and it comes through here and then yeah go so swell all the way down to the bottom of the hill and end it there and then try to plant as much stuff as possible around trees. just gets more trees in, more plants, nitrogen fixes, chop and drop, every kind of vocabulary you would have heard in like food forestry, agroforestry, verm culture, permaculture, any kind of culture and we’re going to try and implement it all everything we’ve been researching. So, so really do keep keep an eye on what we’re going to be doing here cuz there’s going to be a lot of stuff happening and hopefully I’m going to be able to capture it all uh using the GoPro. Um I will be working for a good bit of it and Elena will be giving her mom a dig out and they’ll be helping during the day. Sadly, I’ll be in work, but um other than that, we’ll be able to capture some film after I’m done and on my breaks and stuff like that and just see what the progress is. Um, but we’ll bring you through the journey of like buying all the like all the plants, the seeds, the trees. Um, we’ll try and draw out some mock plans, see what we can do about planting some more stuff here as well. We don’t want to forget about this patch. Definitely plant a tree here now that we know we’re expanding. And then, yeah, that should be interesting. So, if anyone wants to give us a dig out in the comments, ask us about anything, recommend any plants, the pioneer plants, chopping droppers, um, nitrogen fixtures, any of that stuff. Please give us a comment. Want to try and get as much help as we can. For now, we’re just going to keep planting what we plant. We’re going to go for more of a seed approach instead of buying plants cuz it’s way cheaper, especially with these beans. You know, throw beans everywhere for the time being. For the time being, you know, all this is going to be ours soon. Couple of fruit trees, couple of nuts, and then we also want to get some more medicinal kind of herbs in here. Make a kind of like apothecary garden as well. We’ll let you know what else is next once it comes up. We’re going to go have some dinner. It’s going to be pretty flaked from now on. It’s going to be a lot of work, but it’s going to be fun. Like, it’s going to be worth it.
