There accurate a little just don’t over over water, maybe resort to spraying if the letting sit in water don’t work! Cause it does absorb from air. I’m still new myself but thought I’d throw my opinion based off recent research.

Soaking it overnight every week sounds like overkill though.

It looks healthy but a bit dehydrated- I would give it a drink soon. The instructions on the package are actually pretty good! You don’t need to soak overnight, just a few hours is sufficient, but overnight won’t hurt. Just make sure it fully dries out after watering. After I water mine, I like to shake them out gently then put them upside down on a metal grate for around 12 hours before putting them back on display. When you water, rainwater is ideal, but if you can’t use rainwater, distilled is best (they’re pretty sensitive to the chemicals in tap water). I would advise against gluing it to anything for display- it makes it really hard to water them properly. Best of luck with your new air plant!

OVERNIGHT? You can submerge then for a few min and it’s enough usually
