I bought all three at the nursery at the same time. The two outer ones seem fine but this middle one makes me sad.
Should I start over? Or, can I trim out the dead stuff to see if that works or helps?
It faces direct north.

  1. Are you sure that is Lavender? It looks like rosemary.
Regardless, could be disease or damage. You can try removing the dead parts, but in my experience with such a young plant, I’ll pull the whole thing and replace it.

I’ll also dig up and replace a bit of the soil around it to make sure it wasn’t something in the dirt that was causing it.

Mine did the same thing and then perished . I tried pruning up the dead parts but it didn’t make it, so be prepared if it ends up needing replacement.

  3. I have a 50-50 chance for everything I plant. if I buy 2 of something, 1 will not make it, even if they are planted and cared for the same. I don’t know how some are different when bought at same time from same place from same grower.

You have 2 that look so good! I think I’d go back to the store and see if they have another and I’d replace it so I’d have 3 there.

One of mine just started looking like this. Never seen it before. I can only assume it’s related to rain/moisture but who knows
