So for some context I got the plant in this exact cup from someone like 2 years ago and just left it there, would leave it in sitting water and just forget about it. I don’t know how it’s still alive you can see how many black mushy roots are in there. What do I do?!? Just trim off all the black roots and leave the few white ones? And then what should I plant it into? I don’t have leca but I have chunky soil and perlite and sphagnum. Should I keep the same set up of putting it in a plastic cup with no drainage? I’m clueless yall 💀 Just barely getting into plants after I killed 99% of my collection from neglect. I need my couple of survivors to thrive and prove I can do it

It really looks good to me? I’m not an expert though! Haha! I guess you can decide if you want to leave it in water, or put it in soil. You will definitely need a good airy and chunky mix though.
The plants I put my all into look worse than your neglected one😆 anyways, you can pull it out, chop off the black mushy roots, if you’re able to you can poke a hole in that cup, and then put your chunky mix and plant back into it! Your plant looks great though!
I have two of these, look remarkably similar but one was sold to me as a syngonium and one was sold as a paraíso verde
Maybe put it into a round pot, the way these like to grow-all wild and knotty make me think the roots need more room to spread out than what they’re getting here. Your leca looks pretty wet too but maybe you just gave it water. Additionally, what are you using for fertilizer and how often?
