How long are you running the fan for in a day?

It depends on the fan. Unless we are talking about a large, old, inefficient fan that’s more akin to a guillotine, you’re probably fine. I’ve had an oscillating fan running for 6 months almost continuously and it’s hit about 105° inside the greenhouse on the hottest few days this year. Nothing’s blown up and until I read this I had completely forgotten it was in there.

yes. they were used on our school field days and i’ve seen them at construction sites, greenhouses, etc. just don’t bend/damage the cord and make sure nothing gets in the fan (like rocks)

Look at the wattage on the fan. As long as it’s less than the number listed on the cord you’re fine.
