The reason I got into SPs and cactus in general was due to just discovering this sub on an old account several years ago
So I would do some browsing when I first entered this space I remember I kept seeing NOID and I just figured it was a cultivar or “strain” like marijuana that someone bred called “The Noid” or something in reference to the original Noid. It started to make less sense when more and more NOIDs began looking absolutely nothing like each other and I finally had to google what it actually meant lol

The first year I came around the san Pedro’s subs that’s exactly how I pronounced it. I thought it was some kind of pizza demon cultivar.

I use to have the yo noid video game on the original NES..I literally remember sitting in the kitchen playing it w my buddy..Our mother’s were best friends,and they ordered dominoes without us knowing..Then they said they saw the noid outside the window..When we opened the door,there sat the pizza..

There was an NES game with the Noid in about 93 or so. It looked so stupid. I don’t know a single person who had it.

M friends dad had the little rear view mirror NOID with the bendable arms and legs we used to play with . Around ‘88 I think
Did you know there are some chaos magicians who worship the Noid? He supposedly summons pizza into your life.
You are in good company, friend. I will not avoid them however. One of my angriest plants is a NOID. It is pretty cool.
